The Chicago Bears placed defensive tackle Kentavius Street on injured reserve after he injured his knee in the win over Seattle, and coach Ben Johnson said Street is likely out for the season. Street had recorded nine tackles, two tackles for loss and one sack in 2026. The Bears promoted tight end Stephen Carlson from the practice squad to help address the loss of Cole Kmet, who is also out for the season, and signed defensive lineman Earnest Brown IV to take Carlson’s practice-squad spot.

Whose framing of this story rings truest to you?
Promoting Carlson is a solid move to back up Kmet, though Brown on the practice squad feels like a minor addition.
Street's season-ending knee injury hurts the defensive line depth at a bad time for Chicago.
