Lamar Jackson lasted one offensive snap in his return against the Buffalo Bills before injuring his right thumb. On Baltimore's first play he dropped back and threw an incomplete pass intended for Zay Flowers; his throwing hand struck Greg Rousseau's arm on the follow-through. Jackson pointed to his thumb, took a knee short of the sideline, and was escorted up the tunnel. The Ravens listed him questionable, then ruled him out before the first quarter ended and posted "QB Lamar Jackson is out." Medical staff took him to the X-ray room. Tyler Huntley replaced Jackson and was 2-for-3 for no yards when reported. Buffalo led 10-0, then 10-7 after Derrick Henry's 2-yard touchdown run. Broderick Washington intercepted a tipped Josh Allen pass at the Buffalo 17. Jackson had missed three games with a high-ankle sprain suffered in Week 4 against the Tennessee Titans; Baltimore went 1-2 without him. He entered at 70.8 percent completion, 967 yards, six touchdowns and one interception across four starts. How long the thumb injury would sideline him remained unclear pending evaluation.

Tough break on the throwing hand right when he returns. That injury might linger longer than the ankle did.
Huntley will start again but the Ravens lose a lot without Jackson's running threat in the red zone.
Lamar can't seem to stay healthy this year. Ankle then thumb on the first play back is rough for the whole offense.
