Seahawks' Nelson out, set for knee surgery

Seattle Seahawks guard Quenton Nelson will miss Sunday’s game against the Arizona Cardinals after aggravating a knee problem he was already dealing with when Seattle acquired him from Indianapolis. Coach Mike Macdonald said Nelson will undergo a minor procedure, is week to week and will not be placed on injured reserve, leaving open the possibility of a return later this season. Seattle traded a 2027 third-round pick and a 2028 fifth-round pick for the six-time All-Pro at the deadline. With Nelson out, Grey Zabel will move back to left guard and Anthony Bradford will start at right guard. Nelson is among several Seahawks ruled out for Sunday, including left tackle Charles Cross, defensive tackle Leonard Williams, linebacker Uchenna Nwosu and quarterback Sam Darnold.
