Brewers Beat Rays in World Series Game 1

Milwaukee beat Tampa Bay 3–2 in World Series Game 1, taking a 1–0 series lead and earning its first World Series victory since 1982. Brewers starter Jacob Misiorowski allowed one run over five innings and threw a 103.5-mph fastball, the fastest pitch recorded in a World Series. Closer Trevor Megill secured the win after a ninth-inning double-play call was overturned, ending a Rays rally with runners in scoring position. Tampa Bay will start Drew Rasmussen in Game 2 against Brewers rookie Logan Henderson; Rasmussen has been dominant this postseason and was drafted by Milwaukee before being traded to the Rays.
