The Detroit Tigers defeated the Minnesota Twins 5-4 on Monday, rebounding from three consecutive walk-off losses to Cleveland. Riley Greene had three hits, including a two-run homer, while rookie Kevin McGonigle also went deep. Troy Melton earned the win after allowing four runs over 5⅔ innings, and Detroit’s bullpen completed 3⅓ scoreless innings, with Kenley Jansen recording his 18th save. The victory moved the Tigers to 66-78 and narrowed their deficit in the American League wild-card race to 6½ games, with two games remaining in the series.

Bullpen holding a one run lead after Melton left was the real story for me. That's the kind of game they've been losing all year.
McGonigle going deep as a rookie is a nice sign for the future, even if this season's been a grind.
Greene is on an absolute heater right now, three hits again tonight. Love watching him swing it like this.
