Detroit Tigers catcher Dillon Dingler won his second consecutive American League Rawlings Gold Glove, becoming the first Tigers catcher to repeat since Iván Rodríguez in 2006–07 and the fourth in franchise history to earn consecutive honors. He led major-league catchers with a plus-17 Fielding Run Value and 15 Defensive Runs Saved, caught more innings than any AL catcher, also won a Fielding Bible Award, hit 27 home runs with 91 RBIs and made his first All-Star team. Other 2026 Gold Glove winners included Mets rookie pitcher Nolan McLean, the first rookie pitcher to win the award; Yankees outfielder Cody Bellinger; utility player Mauricio Dubón; and Cubs Alex Bregman and Pete Crow-Armstrong, who repeated. Brewers Jackson Chourio and Brice Turang also won after helping Milwaukee capture the World Series.

Hitting 27 homers and 91 RBIs while winning that award again shows he's a complete catcher, not just a glove guy.
Dingler repeating as Gold Glove winner proves his defense is elite, especially topping all catchers in the main stats.
